Systems Design Engineer

We are looking for a dynamic, energetic Systems Design Engineer - Power & AI to join our growing Client and Graphic System Architecture team. As a key contributor to the success of AMD’s products, you will be part of a leading team driving and improving AMD’s abilities to deliver the highest quality, industry-leading technologies to market. The Systems Design Engineering team fosters and encourages continuous technical innovation to showcase successes as well as facilitate continuous career development.

Responsibilities

• Drive technical innovation to improve AMD’s capabilities across product development and validation, including tool and script development, technical and procedural methodology enhancement, and various internal and cross-functional initiatives.
• Develop and automate System Power Modeling.
• Develop new Platform Management Framework feature sets.
• Work with multiple teams and track test execution to ensure all features are validated and optimized on time.
• Work closely with supporting technical teams.
• Engage in other software/hardware modeling frameworks.
• Lead collaborative approaches with multiple teams.

Requirements

• Programming/scripting skills (e.g., C/C++, Perl, Ruby, Python).
• Debug techniques and methodologies.
• Experience with common lab equipment, including protocol/logic analyzers, oscilloscopes, etc.
• Experience with board/platform-level debug, including delivery, sequencing, analysis, and optimization.
• Knowledge of system architecture, technical debug, and validation strategies.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in electrical or computer engineering.

Location

Austin, TX or Markham, ON. This role is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
