About the Role
Location: Smithfield, RI (Hybrid 3 days/week from office)
Responsibilities
- Analyze legacy systems, business processes, data models, and application workflows to document current state functionality and dependencies
- Engage with business and technology stakeholders to gather requirements, conduct discovery sessions, and translate business needs into functional and technical specifications
- Assess system integrations, data flows, APIs, batch processes, and downstream application impacts to support migration and modernization decisions
- Create and maintain requirements documents, process flows, use cases, data mappings, system diagrams, and gap analyses
- Collaborate with architects and engineering teams to evaluate target state solutions, migration approaches, and implementation risks
Requirements
- Experience analyzing legacy systems, system design, data flows, and downstream application integrations
- Strong understanding of Sybase and SQL environments
- Ability to support system design integration assessment and migration option analysis
- Experience working in complex environments with multiple applications, integration patterns, and cross-functional stakeholders
- Strong understanding of legacy application architectures, system design concepts, data flows, and downstream application integrations
- Experience with Sybase SQL data analysis and data mapping
- Knowledge of systems analysis techniques including impact analysis, feasibility studies, gap analysis, process modeling, story mapping, and user acceptance testing
Qualifications
- Exposure to microservices, APIs, cloud platforms (AWS), event-driven architectures, batch processing, and workflow automation
- Experience supporting application modernization, platform migration, or legacy transformation initiatives
Pay
The base compensation range for this role in the posted location is $62,000 - $72,000. Capgemini provides compensation range information in accordance with applicable national, state, provincial, and local pay transparency laws. The actual compensation offered may fall outside of the posted range and will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, education, qualifications, certifications, relevant experience, skills, seniority, performance, market considerations, and internal pay equity. It is not typical for candidates to be hired at or near the top of the posted compensation range. In addition to base salary, this role may be eligible for variable incentives, bonuses, or commissions, depending on position and applicable laws.
