Systems AWS Platform Engineer

For our client, a leader in the Business Services space, we are seeking a Systems AWS Platform Engineer to lead technical work focused on secure, reliable systems and risk-aware execution. You will collaborate across engineering, product, operations, and business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into practical technology solutions, influencing architecture, execution quality, and long-term technology capabilities.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain a self-service application delivery platform for AWS workloads
• Design reusable Jenkins shared libraries and pipeline standards
• Create Terraform modules for AWS services
• Define YAML-based application contracts for teams
• Implement promotion workflows and approvals for deployments
• Collaborate with developers, security, and operations teams to ensure secure delivery
• Design end-to-end Jenkins pipelines using Groovy for code promotion

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 4 additional years of relevant experience
• 4-10 years of platform development experience
• Strong proficiency in AWS (ECS, IAM, S3, SQS, Lambda, etc.)
• Hands-on experience with Terraform for module design and state management
• Expertise in Jenkins pipelines, particularly shared libraries and multibranch workflows
• Ability to create reusable platform abstractions for various services
• Good scripting skills in Bash or Python

Pay

$98,000 – $163,000 annually
