Platform Engineer - AWS

About the role

This role is focused on designing, building, and operating scalable AWS infrastructure for AI, Data Science, and application engineering workloads. The Senior DevOps/Platform Engineer will collaborate with a cross-functional team, including Platform Engineers, DevOps Engineers, and DataOps Engineers, to drive automation initiatives using Infrastructure as Code (IaC), Security as Code (SaC), and CI/CD best practices. The engineer will also mentor mid-level and junior engineers, enhancing the team's overall capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform or CloudFormation across multi-account AWS environments to ensure scalability and reliability.
• Build and improve Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, ensuring efficient and automated software delivery.
• Implement and automate Security and Compliance policies to protect data and adhere to industry standards.
• Support deployment automation into diverse containerized clusters, optimizing resource utilization and application performance.
• Mentor mid-level and junior engineers, fostering a culture of learning and knowledge sharing within the team.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience working in the AWS ecosystem as a DevOps/Platform engineer, with a strong understanding of cloud networking, security, and architecture patterns.
• 5+ years of experience working with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation, demonstrating proficiency in managing infrastructure.
• 5+ years of experience supporting Kubernetes and containerized orchestration, with hands-on experience in deploying and managing applications.
• 5+ years of scripting or programming experience with industry-standard languages/tools, including Python, Bash, or Shell.
• 5+ years of experience with code repositories such as GitHub, GitLab, or Azure DevOps, showcasing version control and collaboration skills.
• 3+ years of experience supporting CI/CD tools like GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, or Jenkins, exhibiting the ability to automate and streamline development workflows.
