About the role

The Command and Control, Battle Management and Communications (C2BMC) team at Lockheed Martin is dedicated to engineering, developing, and integrating new capabilities for the Missile Defense System that protects the United States and its allies. This role involves Sensor/Weapon Integration, Algorithm Development, User Interface Development, Automated Testing, Cyber Security, and enhancing critical missile defense technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Define the operational, physical, functional, and technical architecture necessary for the C2BMC effort.
  • Create System Architecture solutions and concepts for new and emerging capabilities.
  • Collaborate with other teams including software developers, networks engineers, cyber engineers, DevSecOps teams, infrastructure teams, test teams, and deployment teams.
  • Communicate and collaborate on System Architecture solutions with other teams.
  • Present architecture concepts to a large variety of audiences and serve as the focal point for the System Architecture for the Capability.
  • Present at internal and external design reviews.
  • Interface with project leads, product owners, and MDA customer.
  • Document or review architectures in a MBSE tool such as CAMEO.
  • Maintain knowledge of current and developing technologies and design methodologies in the area of DoD Command and Control and COTS/FOSS information technology products.

Requirements

  • A final secret clearance is required for consideration.
  • Systems Engineering/Architecture experience.
  • Experience in creating new System Architecture concepts and solutions.
  • Information Technology / Computer Science / Software / Network related work experience on an integrated team working with other systems, software and specialty engineers to develop solutions for a DoD Program.
  • C2BMC or similar complex DoD Command and Control (C2) System experience.

Qualifications

  • Experience in creating new System Architecture concepts and solutions.
  • Information Technology / Computer Science / Software / Network related work experience on an integrated team working with other systems, software and specialty engineers to develop solutions for a DoD Program.
  • C2BMC or similar complex DoD Command and Control (C2) System experience.

Skills

  • Microsoft Office including PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
  • Experience producing tooling and products to assist the with the analysis or assessment of a system or project.
  • Experience with DevOps related tooling (Jenkins, HTCondor, GitLab, etc).
  • Experience with performing systems engineering for DoD Information Systems.
  • Excellent communication skills and be able to present technical concepts to a diverse group of engineers.
  • Experience as Technical Lead Systems Engineering SME or Systems Engineering technical leader in the Missile Defense, Space, or Link 16 Domain.
