Summary
Reporting to the Team Lead, Pharmacy Business Operations and Clinical Intelligence, this role integrates technology within all areas of pharmacy services at Brown University Health. Responsibilities include developing custom reports and data visualizations, maintaining a data warehouse, and improving business practices through technology and data.Responsibilities
- Utilize technical, analytical, and programming skills to support all areas of pharmacy services (clinical, operational, safety, quality, financial, regulatory, accreditation, supply chain, retail, academia).
- Maintain the pharmacy’s data warehouse.
- Design, build, and troubleshoot data Extract, Transfer, and Load (ETL) processes.
- Design, build, and troubleshoot highly functional data visualizations using Microsoft PowerBI or similar tools.
- Collaborate with pharmacy clinical and operational staff to understand health system needs and devise possible solutions.
- Keep up to date with the latest technology trends.
- Collaborate in the design of business processes to allow for appropriate and efficient data collection.
- Work jointly with stakeholders within the healthcare organization.
- Take part in and complete technological project work.
- Maintain and troubleshoot internal webpages, both interactive and static.
- Maintain and troubleshoot Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access, and Filemaker solutions.
- Design and/or implement solutions to security vulnerabilities and work with Brown University Health information systems security.
- Responsible for weekly rotating on-call coverage.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Science, or related field.
- 3 years of experience with SQL, data analytics, and programming, or equivalent.
- Strong background in writing SQL. Ability to understand various data structures and common methods in data transformation.
- Proven analytic and process redesign skills.
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Office tools such as Word, Excel, and Access.
