Systems Analyst

Smithville Communications is seeking a Systems Analyst to join our Information Systems team. Reporting to the Director of Information Systems, this role bridges business needs and technology solutions. You'll support and enhance enterprise systems, integrations, reporting, and operational processes while partnering with business and technical teams to ensure systems remain reliable, efficient, and aligned with organizational goals. This on-site role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex problems, working with data, connecting systems, and improving how work gets done. What You'll Do Business Intelligence & Reporting (30%) Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, visualizations, and KPIs that support operational and strategic decision-makingBuild and support business intelligence solutions, data models, and reporting frameworksDesign and maintain ETL processes, data warehouses, and reporting environmentsEnsure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across systemsIdentify opportunities to improve reporting, analytics, and data visibility Systems Integrations & Automation (30%) Develop and support system integrations using APIs, middleware, ETL tools, and related technologiesTroubleshoot, monitor, and enhance integrations to ensure reliability and performanceTranslate technical requirements into scalable, supportable solutionsPartner with architecture and engineering teams to establish integration standards and best practicesIdentify automation opportunities that improve efficiency and streamline workflows System Support & Technical Analysis (20%) Configure, deploy, support, and document enterprise applications and third-party platformsTroubleshoot complex issues involving systems, integrations, and data pipelinesPartner with stakeholders to understand business needs and recommend technical solutionsProvide guidance on system behavior, integrations, and data flowsEvaluate technologies and support testing, deployment, and change management activitiesMaintain documentation for systems, integrations, configurations, and operational processes Collaboration & Continuous Improvement (10%) Collaborate with developers, architects, vendors, analysts, and business teams to deliver effective solutionsParticipate in cross-functional projects and continuous improvement initiativesRecommend enhancements that improve reliability, scalability, maintainability, and user experienceSupport documentation, governance, and operational standards Other Duties as Assigned (10%) What You Bring Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, or equivalent experienceExperience supporting enterprise systems, integrations, reporting platforms, or business intelligence solutionsStrong knowledge of SQL, relational databases, ETL processes, and data structuresExperience with APIs, middleware platforms, and integration technologiesUnderstanding of reporting architecture, data management, and analytics conceptsProven troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving abilitiesStrong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholdersAbility to manage competing priorities in a dynamic environmentTelecommunications industry experience or experience with enterprise SaaS platforms is preferredFamiliarity with reporting and visualization tools is preferredUnderstanding of systems analysis, testing, deployment, and documentation practices WORK ENVIRONMENT This position is based in a climate-controlled office environment. A standard 40-hour workweek is typical, with occasional additional hours as business needs require. The role involves regular computer use and fine motor skills, along with periods of sitting, standing, walking, and reaching. Occasional lifting of up to 15 pounds may be required.
