Systems Analyst
About the role
The Systems Analyst will use strong analytical and critical thinking skills to optimize our claims processing platform. This will include working predominately with our claims and benefits management system. You will operate in cross-functional teams to understand business processes, goals, problems and/or opportunities that may be addressed through the use of technology.
Responsibilities
- Define problems, collect and analyze data, establish facts, and draw conclusions
- Find opportunities for improvement in business technology systems
- Define automated system requirements by analyzing business structure, policies and operations
- Analyze business requirements to define technical system specifications
- Research and recommend systems solutions that achieve business objectives and address future customer needs
- Conduct business needs assessments and cost/benefit analyses to assist in aligning investments with automated system solutions
- Contribute to test case development, testing strategy, and analyze test results as needed
- Responsible for quality control and quality assurance adherence of system functionality
- Create end-user documentation and deliver training as needed
- Analyze system operating logs and error messages for problem identification
- Create and maintain system documentation such as system processes, process schedules, data flows, and design documentation
Requirements
- Strong critical thinking, analysis, and problem solving skills
- Solid grasp of SQL to query and manipulate structured data
- Experience using project management systems
- Experience working with complex projects end to end from concept to delivery
- Ability to work in a multifaceted environment with competing priorities
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environment
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with an ability to communicate complex concepts to customers
- Experience with website, database and software as a service (SaaS) applications
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree and 4+ years’ relevant work experience performing business analysis related tasks, or equivalent experience in technical or business environment

Pay
The pay range for this position In Western Washington varies between $78,800 - $118,200 and for Eastern Washington varies between $67,200 – $105,500. Washington Dental Service and its affiliates, including Arcora Foundation, Delta Dental of Washington, and TriForza Corp. intends to offer the selected candidate a base pay within this range, dependent on job-related, non-discriminatory factors such as experience. Base pay will also be adjusted based on the candidate's geographic location.
