About the role
The Missile Defense Systems Analyst – Architecture and Assessment supports PeopleTec's Fort Belvoir, VA location. This position involves evaluating architecture concepts, sensor and interceptor performance, and command-and-control (C2) options using advanced modeling and simulation tools.
Responsibilities
- Perform architecture trade studies, system performance assessments, and capability gap analyses for missile defense systems and future integrated architectures.
- Utilize GTRI Benchmark model to simulate ballistic and hypersonic threat engagements and evaluate system performance across multiple mission threads.
- Develop and execute analysis scripts and data post-processing routines using MATLAB and other analytical tools.
- Integrate modeling and simulation results from AFSIM, Benchmark or other environments to inform architecture design decisions.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 - 10 years of relevant experience.
- Proven experience in systems engineering supporting missile defense or other complex defense systems.
- Expertise with GTRI Benchmark OR AFSIM modeling environments.
- Strong understanding of MDA system architectures and experience performing analysis to assess potential performance.
- Excellent analytical, documentation, and communication skills.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- An active DoD Top Secret/SCI clearance is required to perform this work.
Education
A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related technical field; Master’s degree preferred.
