Systems Analyst Apprentice

About the role

This role supports the US Navy (NAVAIR) Regional Multi-domain Awareness Capability (RMAC) program. We are seeking a dynamic individual to aid in the installation of sensor systems in both CONUS and OCONUS locations, with an inquisitive approach to troubleshooting RF systems operations and maintenance. The role involves build-up and testing of systems and system of systems (SoS) in the test lab prior to field installation.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the testing, build-up, and shipment of systems and System of Systems (SoS).
• Assist in the installation of Automatic Identification System (AIS) receivers and antennas, radars, Automatic Dependent Surveillance – Broadcast (ADS-B) receivers and antennas, security cameras, surveillance cameras, VHF/HF communications sets, microwave communications systems, and satellite communications systems.
• Support the installation of domain awareness systems, including workstations, servers, monitors, generator sets, renewable energy systems, routers, networks, encryption solutions, and cross-domain solutions.
• Assist in sensor system installations requiring work on towers and buildings, potentially involving heavy equipment for site preparation.
• Assist in the development and continuity of deliverable documents for the Government customer.

Requirements

• Basic understanding of computer systems and network administration.
• General understanding and ability to install/troubleshoot systems such as VHF/HF communications, video systems, radars, AIS, ADS-B, microwave communications, and satellite communication systems.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Project, and Visio, for developing system architectures.
• Currently seeking or a recent graduate of a 4-year Engineering Program.
• Eligible to obtain a DoD security clearance.
• Must be a US citizen.
• Able to obtain a U.S. Passport and available for short-term OCONUS travel (0-25% travel required).
• Must meet physical and medical requirements as needed by the position, including compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local jurisdictional requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or another technical field (desired).
• IT certifications such as CompTIA, Security+, or CCNA (desired).
• Secret clearance (desired).

Pay

The projected compensation range for this position is $0 to $20/hr, determined by factors including location, education, skills, experience, and contract-specific requirements.
