Systems Administrator, Windows/Linux - Intermediate
Job Description and Responsibilities
The Linux/Windows systems administrator (SA) is responsible for managing and maintaining the IT infrastructure within its designated area of responsibility (AOR). This role involves a variety of tasks, including server maintenance, security monitoring, and updating system software. The SA must have extensive knowledge of both Linux and Windows server setups, as well as a firm understanding of networking protocols and server security mechanisms. Responsibilities include installing server systems, configuring software and hardware, performing system maintenance checks, diagnosing technical issues, and providing technical support and guidance. The ideal candidate will also have experience with scripting, automation tools, and server security, and a good knowledge of TCP/IP networks, clustering, and relevant network protocols.
Basic Requirements
- Highschool, CSWF acceptable cert (CompTIA Cloud+ or Sec+, GICSP, GSEC, or SSCP)
- OS cert
- 3+ years of relevant experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or Software Engineering
- Relevant CSWF cert
- OS cert
