Job Description and Responsibilities

Windows Systems Administrator (SA) is responsible for maintaining and managing computer systems or applications that run on the Windows operating system. This role involves performing regular system maintenance, troubleshooting problems, and installing new software or hardware. The SA is responsible for ensuring the security and integrity of systems, implementing security measures, and performing routine security audits. The candidate may also be responsible for managing user accounts, creating policies for user access, and monitoring system usage. The position requires a strong technical aptitude, problem-solving abilities, and excellent communication skills.

  • Install and configure Windows operating systems on computers and servers.
  • Maintain network performance and troubleshoot issues that arise.
  • Create and manage user accounts and access permissions.
  • Ensure system and data security by installing antivirus software and implementing security protocols.
  • Install and maintain software applications and updates.
  • Backup and restore data to prevent data loss.
  • Respond to help desk requests and provide technical support to end-users.
  • Develop and implement disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
  • Manage inventory of hardware and software assets.
  • Collaborate with other IT professionals to ensure smooth operation of networks and systems.

Basic Requirements

  • Highschool, CSWF acceptable cert (CompTIA Cloud+, Sec+, GICSP, GSEC, or SSCP); OS cert, and 3+ years of relevant experience OR
  • Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or Software Engineering; relevant CSWF cert, and OS cert

Top Secret or above (must be a US Citizen)

Telework and Travel

On-Site. Less than 15% travel required.
