Systems Administrator w TS/SCI CI Poly
About the role
The System Administrator role provides hands-on technical support in a classified environment, responsible for installing, configuring, securing, and maintaining Windows and Linux systems, networks, and associated hardware and software.
Responsibilities
- Building systems from bare metal in alignment with accredited baselines
- Managing authentication services
- Performing backups
- Maintaining security monitoring
- Monitoring and troubleshooting failures across multiple sites
- Ensuring full compliance with DoD and Intelligence Community security standards
- Contributing to cybersecurity program execution, documentation, automation, and performance optimization
- Supporting distributed systems and infrastructure-as-code tools
Requirements
- Onsite support 90% of the time
- Limited travel
- U.S. citizenship
- An active or obtainable TS//SCI clearance with CI polygraph
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
- IAT Level 1 (CompTIA Security + and OS/Computing Environment certification)
- 5+ years of experience with implementation and understanding of Engineering principles in a professional environment
- Experience maintaining, configuring, operating and troubleshooting complex electronic computer interface systems and network equipment
- Knowledge of U.S. Government computers, networks, and security
- Past experience administering server-side technology and networked computing systems
- Ability to prioritize a wide range of workloads with critical deadlines
- Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Patient and professional demeanor, with a can-do attitude
- Familiarity with DNS / DHCP / Kickstart / LDAP / Kubernetes / Red Hat 7&8 / Windows 10 / ACAS / Rancher / Grafana / Cloud Security Gateway
- Maintain and create system documentation
- Willingness to learn new technologies
- Ability to automate installation, configuration, and provisioning using Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform, Ansible, Puppet, and Chef
- Ability to configure and manage operating systems (Windows and Linux), applications (commercial and government), networks (IPs, subnets, etc.), and network equipment (switches)
- Ability to configure and manage DOD and IC standard distributed authentication services
Skills
- Familiarity with security concepts, best practices and how to apply them, such as Secure Shell, public key encryption, access credentials, certificates, TLS, and data encryption to include Department of Defense and Intelligence Community security policies/processes
- Strong customer engagement, leadership, communication, and the ability to prioritize workloads in fast-paced, mission-critical environments
Benefits
Salary range: $130K - $190K
Work directly with customers in a technical role
Responsible for asset installation/configuration, operation and maintenance of systems hardware, software and related infrastructure
Contributes technical content and tutorials to product documentation
Contributes to cybersecurity program execution, documentation, automation, and performance optimization
Supports distributed systems and infrastructure-as-code tools
Maintains facility video distribution system and displays
Other tasks and duties as assigned
Pay
SALARY 130K-190K
Schedule
Ability to work within company and customer schedule requirements which may vary depending on criticality and necessity of a given task.
Ability to perform onsite work in secure facilities minimum of 90% of time
Travel Up to 10%
Additional Eligibility Requirements
- Active (within 5yr) CI Polygraph, or ability to pass CI Polygraph
- Active security clearance is highly desirable
