Systems Administrator (Senior-Level)
Job Description
The Senior Systems Administrator supports the U.S. Army Information Systems Engineering Command (USAISEC), Communications Security Directorate (CSD), by providing comprehensive enterprise-level system, network, and workstation administration services across classified and unclassified environments. This role ensures the availability, security, continuity, and performance of all CSD-managed IT systems, user endpoints, network infrastructure, and supporting technologies.
Qualifications
- A U.S. Citizen with an active DoW Top Secret Clearance.
- IAT Level II Certification equivalent or higher per DoD 8570/DoD 8140 (CompTIA Security+ CE, CCNA Security, GICSP, GSEC, SSCP, etc.).
- Ten (10+) years of experience administering, maintaining, and supporting complex enterprise information technology systems, including servers, operating systems, networks, virtualization platforms, and cybersecurity technologies.
- Experience with systems and network administration, including operating systems, virtualization platforms, and network protocols.
- Knowledge of network management, monitoring, and troubleshooting for enterprise server and communications environments.
- Experience supporting videoconferencing, VoIP, and audio/visual systems.
- Familiarity with fiber optic cabling, digital media interfaces, and communications infrastructure.
- Ability to install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot network, server, and communication technologies.
Preferred
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Experience working in a Department of Defense (DoD) environment.
- Experience providing quality service and support for mission-critical systems and VIP end users.
- Excellent communication skills (written and oral) and interpersonal skills.
- Superior organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
- Problem solver and troubleshooter who thrives in resolving complex problems.
- Strong self-starter requiring minimal supervision.
Additional Information
This position is contingent upon the successful acquisition of the government contract and the completion of ongoing negotiations. We anticipate these processes will be completed within the next several weeks, at which time interviews and offers will be extended upon successful contract award.
