About the role

The Systems Administrator will support the implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of Information Technology systems. Key responsibilities include managing IT system infrastructure and processes, supporting day-to-day operations, monitoring, and problem resolution across client, server, storage, network, and mobile environments. The role also involves providing Tier 1 and Tier 2 support, including problem identification, diagnosis, escalation, and resolution, while communicating system status to agency management and internal customers.

Responsibilities

  • Provide support for the implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of Information Technology systems, including in-depth troubleshooting of complex system issues.
  • Provide Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) problem identification, diagnosis, resolution, and detailed analysis for escalated tickets.
  • Manage the daily configuration and operational activities of Information Technology systems.
  • Support day-to-day operational support, monitoring, and problem resolution for client, server, storage, network, and mobile device environments.
  • Communicate system status and provide detailed feedback to agency management and internal customers during escalation processes.
  • Support dispatch systems and hardware-related issues while remaining engaged through issue resolution.
  • Configure and manage UNIX and Windows operating systems, install and load operating system software, configure and maintain network components, optimize system operations and resource utilization, perform capacity analysis and planning, and implement operating system enhancements to improve reliability and performance.

Requirements

  • Ability to provide support for the implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of Information Technology systems, including in-depth troubleshooting of complex system issues.
  • Ability to provide Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) problem identification, diagnosis, resolution, and detailed analysis for escalated tickets.
  • Ability to manage the daily configuration and operational activities of Information Technology systems.
  • Ability to support day-to-day operational support, monitoring, and problem resolution for client, server, storage, network, and mobile device environments.
  • Ability to communicate system status and provide detailed feedback to agency management and internal customers during escalation processes.
  • Ability to support dispatch systems and hardware-related issues while remaining engaged through issue resolution.
  • Ability to configure and manage UNIX and Windows operating systems, install and load operating system software, configure and maintain network components, optimize system operations and resource utilization, perform capacity analysis and planning, and implement operating system enhancements to improve reliability and performance.
  • At least 10 years of experience as a Systems Administrator supporting programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
  • A bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university, or 15 years of Systems Administrator experience if a degree is not held.
  • Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph is required.

Pay

A variety of factors can impact the final salary offered, including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and wage rates, relevant work experience, specialized skills and competencies, education, and certifications.
