Responsibilities And Duties
- Manages the acquisition, allocation and utilization of financial resources needed for information services and support.
- Able to take call after hours and on the weekend.
- Assumes other duties as assigned by hospital leadership.
- Familiarity with departmental budgeting, KPI, inventory management related to hardware/licenses required on hand for operational readiness.
- Detail oriented with demonstrated ability to optimize consultant collaboration with respect to cost and monitoring of deliverables.
- System Installation & Configuration: Set up and configure new hardware, software, and network components.
- System Maintenance: Perform regular maintenance, updates, and upgrades to operating systems and applications.
- Performance Monitoring: Monitor system performance and identify potential bottlenecks or issues.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve technical problems with computer systems, servers, and networks.
- Security Management: Implement and manage security protocols, access controls, and firewalls to protect against threats and data breaches.
- User Support: Provide technical support to end-users, including setting up user accounts and managing permissions.
- Data Backups: Perform routine data backups to ensure data integrity and facilitate restoration in case of failure.
- Documentation: Create and maintain technical documentation, user manuals, and system configuration records.
- Technical Proficiency: Expertise in managing various operating systems (e.g., Windows, Linux), hardware, software, and network infrastructure.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills to resolve complex technical issues.
- Security Awareness: A solid understanding of cybersecurity best practices and tools.
- Communication: Ability to communicate effectively with users and other IT professionals.
- Organizational Skills: Meticulous attention to detail for documentation and system management.
Requirements
- Required Bachelor’s degree in information technology or related field required along with 4 years of industry-related experience or associate's degree in information technology or related field along with 5-7 years of industry-related experience.
Preferred
- Cicso certification, VMWare installation and maintenance
