Job Specific Duties
- Assist with the installation, testing and sustainment of the Marine Corps Enterprise Network (MCEN-N), Marine Corps Enterprise Network (MCEN-S), Joint Worldwide Intelligence Communication System (JWICS), and other networks.
- Identify system problems due to system component connections and notify appropriate Network Owner for problem resolution.
- Sustain engineering support of network systems.
- Absorb new cabling, equipment, associated hardware and software to extend and enhance existing services.
- Establish new user accounts, configuration & support for laptops, and the configuration/adjustment/maintenance of commercial cell phone assets and remote email services, assist users with remote/VPN access.
- Arrange and coordinate with hardware maintenance personnel for the repair of Network IT equipment.
- Troubleshoot and assist with software and hardware problems for Domain Users.
- Absorb the Configuration Baseline for Laptops and Workstations.
- Absorb maintenance and inventory of VoIP Phones, STE Phones, VTC’s, Printers, and Audio Visual Equipment.
- Test and document components for communications architectures.
- Absorb administration of the network storage arrays and Email Archiving System.
- Absorb support the Microsoft Systems Update Server (SUS) and Systems Management Server (SMS).
- Absorb assistance in the upkeep, organization and cleanliness of spaces.
- Absorb assistance in engineering and design requirements for Risk Management Framework (RMF) processes to include Authority to Operate (ATO) development and security requirements.
- Absorb assistance in updating section operating procedures.
- Absorb assistance in escorting information technology and audiovisual professionals.
Required Experience
- Associates degree in related field or equivalent experience
- Minimum of three years’ work-related experience
- CompTIA Security+CE certification
- Working knowledge of desktop applications including word processing, spreadsheet, and database programs
- Active DoD TS/SCI clearance or eligibility granted within past 2 years
- US Citizenship required
Preferred Qualifications
- Basic working knowledge of RMF design and engineering requirements
- The following Microsoft certifications: Exam MD-102 (Endpoint Administrator) and Exam MD-102 (Microsoft 365 Administrator)
- Familiarity with Marine Corps networks including but not limited to; Enterprise Network (MCEN-N), Marine Corps Enterprise Network (MCEN-S), and Joint Worldwide Intelligence Communication System (JWICS)
- Experience with installation, design new cabling, equipment and associated hardware and software
