Systems Administrator, Installation
Responsibilities
- Maintains smooth operation of multi-user computer systems, including coordination with network engineers.
- Maintains system resources, including CPU usage, disk usage, and response times to maintain operating efficiency.
- Performs systems security administration functions, including creating user profiles and accounts.
- Other duties may include setting up administrator accounts, maintaining system documentation, tuning system performance, installing system wide software, and allocating mass storage space.
- Interacts with users and evaluates vendor products.
- Makes recommendations to purchase hardware and software, coordinates installation, and provides backup recovery.
- Develops and monitors policies and standards for allocation related to the use of computing resources.
- May be assigned responsibility for less experienced staff.
Qualifications
- Active TS/SCI + CI Poly clearance
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related technical field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
- Minimum 5–8 years of experience in systems administration within enterprise environments.
- Experience supporting multi-user systems in Windows and/or Linux server environments.
- Experience operating within DoD or Intelligence Community environments.
- One of the following DoD 8570/SP-SYS-002 certifications: Security+, SSCP, CySA+, GSEC, CND.
- One of the following environment certifications: Microsoft Windows Server certification (e.g., Azure Administrator Associate), Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA), Linux+ (CompTIA), VMware VCP.
- Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE), Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator, VMware VCP-DCV, AWS Sys Ops Administrator.

The Systems Administrator, Installation is joining TekSynap's Task Order proposal on the Defense Intelligence Agency’s Solutions for the Information Technology Enterprise III (SITE III).
