Systems Administrator II
About the role
Enterprise Infrastructure Services (EIS) at the University at Buffalo is searching for a Systems Administrator II to utilize cutting-edge technologies and their expertise in computing and information systems to develop, manage, and support sophisticated IT services including server and cloud services. This is a campus-based position with the possibility of hybrid work.
The Systems Administrator II plays a pivotal role in maintaining the operational excellence of UB, recognized as the top public research university in New York and ranked among the top 40 public universities nationwide.
Responsibilities
- Provide on-premises and cloud IT system support, including Windows servers
- Design and implement new on-premises and cloud IT infrastructure and systems
- Communicate professionally and effectively with teammates, management, peers, colleagues, and university constituents
- Maintain and improve technical and professional knowledge and skills
- Work as part of a team
All duties and responsibilities occur in a 24×7 environment; working extended hours, holidays, or varied hours may be required.
