Seneca Resources is seeking a Systems Administrator II to support a federal defense program in San Diego, California. This is a hands-on, mission-critical role focused on maintaining the integrity, availability, and performance of secure IT infrastructure and operating systems.

Responsibilities

  • Manage identity and access controls
  • Harden systems to federal standards
  • Resolve complex technical issues
  • Ensure continuous uptime across classified computing environments
  • Administer Microsoft Active Directory including ADUC, DNS, GPO, and WSUS
  • Work with Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) and DoD certificate-based authentication
  • Perform system maintenance including backups, recovery, and file management
  • Acquire, install, configure, and test software upgrades and hardware components
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across hardware, software, and network systems
  • Support VPN, network, and email administration in a secure environment
  • Monitor system performance and conduct system testing in compliance with IT policies
  • Apply DISA STIGs and federal IT compliance standards

Requirements

  • Active Secret clearance
  • IAT Level II certification required: CySA+, CompTIA Security+ CE, CCNA Security, GICSP, GSEC, or SSCP
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
  • 3+ years of relevant systems administration experience in an enterprise or government environment
  • Hands-on experience administering Microsoft Active Directory including ADUC, DNS, GPO, and WSUS
  • Experience with Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) and DoD certificate-based authentication
  • Proficiency performing system maintenance including backups, recovery, and file management
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across hardware, software, and network systems
  • Familiarity with DISA STIGs and federal IT compliance standards

Desired Skills

  • Experience with network security software and IT backup tools
  • Familiarity with licensing management and upgrades management procedures
  • Strong documentation skills including development and maintenance of SOPs

Pay

Converting to $75,000-$80,000 annually

This position is 100% onsite.
