About the role
SAs (Systems Administrators) are our first-tier support desk techs. They handle most of the day-to-day user-facing and alert-generated issues. Our SA role is the ideal entry point into the IT world.
Responsibilities
- Get deep exposure to a wide range of areas: networking, hardware, servers, workstations, wifi, internet/WAN, email/spam filtering, security, scripting, etc.

- Document annoying issues thoroughly to help future techs avoid similar problems.
- Be a good troubleshooter, methodical, self-critical, thorough, and creative.
- Be eager to learn new things and humble enough to ask for help.
- Keep good ticket notes and documentation.
- Have certifications (but not necessary).
- Have a valid driver's license and car for planned and unplanned onsite visits.

Qualifications
- Knowledge of mainstream Microsoft apps and Windows 10/11.
- Knowledge of Microsoft 365 (formerly Office 365).
- Knowledge of standard networking stuff: DNS, DHCP, wireless.
- Knowledge of standard hardware stuff: Dell workstations, printers, UPSes.
