About the role
The Systems Administrator will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing the IT infrastructure at Zanskar. This includes managing servers, network devices, and ensuring the smooth operation of all systems.
Responsibilities
- Manage server environments, including installation, configuration, and maintenance of operating systems and applications.
- Implement and maintain network security measures to protect against threats and vulnerabilities.
- Perform routine backups and disaster recovery procedures to ensure data integrity and availability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies and best practices to optimize system performance and efficiency.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Systems Administrator.
- Experience with Linux and Windows operating systems.
- Knowledge of network protocols and security best practices.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Qualifications
- Experience with cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Hands-on experience with virtualization technologies like VMware or Hyper-V.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash, PowerShell, or Python.
- Experience with monitoring tools like Nagios, Prometheus, or Grafana.

Pay
Salary range: $80,000 - $120,000 annually.
Schedule
