Systems Administrator

About the role

The Systems Administrator is responsible for maintaining and optimizing the company’s IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and software applications.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and update server operating systems and network configurations
• Perform routine backups and disaster recovery procedures
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues as needed
• Implement and manage security protocols to protect company data
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless integration of IT resources

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
• Minimum 3 years of experience in IT support or administration
• Proficiency in Windows Server and Linux environments
• Experience with network management tools such as SNMP, NetFlow, and Wireshark
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
• Knowledge of cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
• Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V)

Skills

• Scripting languages (PowerShell, Bash)
• Database management (SQL, MySQL)
• System monitoring tools (Prometheus, Nagios)
• Version control systems (Git)

Pay

$75,000 - $85,000 annually

Schedule

Full-time, Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM
