Systems Administrator
Overview
Our client, a well-established organization within the manufacturing and supply chain industry, is seeking a Systems Administrator to join its collaborative IT infrastructure team. This is an excellent opportunity for an IT professional who enjoys a mix of day-to-day operational support and infrastructure modernization initiatives. This hybrid position offers flexibility, with onsite presence typically required once per week at a facility in the Appleton area.
Responsibilities
- Administer and maintain Windows Server infrastructure, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, Azure, virtualization platforms, and endpoint management solutions.
- Support ongoing infrastructure modernization efforts, including Microsoft Intune implementation, endpoint management improvements, virtualization enhancements, and network infrastructure upgrades.
- Provide hands-on support for servers, workstations, hardware, software, and core infrastructure while collaborating with external technology partners on network-related initiatives.
- Troubleshoot system, network, and end-user issues to ensure reliable and secure IT operations.
- Manage system patching, backups, documentation, and security best practices.
- Participate in infrastructure projects, technology upgrades, and occasional travel (approximately 3–4 times per year) to support remote locations and business initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- 3–5 years of Systems Administration experience in a Windows-based enterprise environment.
- Strong experience supporting:
- Windows Server
- Active Directory
- Microsoft 365
- Microsoft Azure
- Virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V, or similar)
- Solid understanding of networking fundamentals, including LAN/WAN environments, firewalls, and infrastructure troubleshooting.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience implementing or administering Microsoft Intune.
- Familiarity with endpoint management and modern device administration.
- Experience supporting Citrix migrations or similar infrastructure modernization projects.
- Exposure to SD-WAN or enterprise networking improvements.

Pay
