- Coordination with network engineers
- Sets up administrator and service accounts
- Maintains system documentation
- Tunes system performance
- Installs system-wide software
- Allocates mass storage space
Interacts with users and evaluates vendor products
- Makes recommendations to purchase hardware and software
- Covers installation
- Provides backup recovery
Develops and monitors policies and standards
- For allocation related to the use of computing resources
Required Skills
- Well versed in Windows system administration
- Advanced Tier III resolutions for complex customer issues
- Administration support for Tiers 1-3 (Windows, Linux, and VMWare)
Required Education And Experience
- Master's degree and 6 years’ experience
- Bachelor's Degree and 8 years’ experience
- Associate's Degree and 10 years’ experience
- High School Grad and 12 years’ experience in System Administration
Required Certifications
- One of the following DoD approved certifications is required:
- Security+
- GSEC
- SSCP
- CCNA-Security
- CISA
- CISSP (or Associate)
- CASP
- GSIH
- GCED
