The Systems Administrator at Sikorsky Credit Union plays a crucial role in supporting the credit union's systems, users, and third-party vendors. Responsibilities
- Provides data queries and analyses to facilitate staff work and minimize system downtime.
- Liaises with third-party vendors for system procurement, implementation, and upgrades.
- Troubleshoots cloud-based VoIP and unified communications platforms, ensuring member communication.
- Patches and upgrades operating systems and third-party software to enhance security and resilience.
- Supports end-users through second-level helpdesk, ensuring smooth processes.
- Manages user privileges, groups, roles, and licenses using Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD).
- Ensures compliance with Microsoft 365 security and compliance features like MFA, Conditional Access, and audit logging.
- Maintains a positive work environment by communicating professionally and adhering to the credit union's core values.
- Stays updated on industry trends and regulatory changes.
- Adheres to company policies and banking/credit union regulations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent technical certifications.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience with UNIX and/or LINUX systems, virtual environments, and networking technologies.
- Familiarity with telephony technology.
- Proven ability to update operating systems and apply patches.
- Experience with Microsoft 365 administration, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, and OneDrive.
- Knowledge of managing identities and access using Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD).
- Experience with Microsoft 365 security and compliance features like MFA, Conditional Access, retention, and audit logging.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and logical thinking skills.
- Ability to manage time and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Detail-oriented and able to communicate with various levels of technical expertise.
- Available for on-call and after-hours work.
- Able to travel up to 20%.
