About the role
We are looking for an experienced Systems Administrator to support and enhance the organization’s Microsoft-centric technology environment in San Antonio, Texas. This position combines infrastructure administration, endpoint management, SharePoint oversight, and end-user support to help keep daily operations secure, reliable, and efficient.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the administration of Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange Online, Microsoft Teams, Entra ID, OneDrive, and Intune, to ensure stable and secure user access.
- Manage the setup, deployment, and lifecycle support of Windows desktops and laptops, including provisioning, configuration, and replacement planning.
- Maintain user identities, security groups, access permissions, and software licensing across core business systems.
- Perform software deployments, operating system updates, and patching activities to keep endpoints current and protected.
- Track system performance and availability, identify issues proactively, and help maintain a dependable computing environment.
- Support office technology such as printers, peripheral devices, conferencing tools, and related end-user equipment.
- Maintain accurate hardware inventory records and coordinate asset tracking for company-issued devices.
- Assist with network and connectivity support involving wireless access, VPN access, and firewall-related troubleshooting.
- Administer SharePoint Online environments by managing site structure, permissions, document libraries, lists, metadata, and collaboration features.
- Provide hands-on help desk support for Windows PCs, Microsoft Office, Teams, mobile devices, network access, and audio/video conferencing equipment while contributing to documentation, backup readiness, and workflow improvement efforts.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in systems administration, desktop support, or a closely related IT infrastructure role.
- Strong hands-on expertise with Microsoft 365 administration, including Exchange Online, Teams, Entra ID, OneDrive, and Intune.
- Experience supporting Windows environments, including Windows 10 endpoints, software installation, patching, and device management.
- Demonstrated knowledge of SharePoint Online administration, including permissions, site maintenance, document organization, and collaboration support.
- Familiarity with identity and access management concepts using Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID.
- Working knowledge of virtualization and infrastructure technologies such as VMware, Hyper-V, Citrix, and Microsoft Windows Server.
- Experience supporting cybersecurity practices, endpoint protection, VPN connectivity, and compliance with security standards and policies.
- Ability to troubleshoot a wide range of user and system issues involving hardware, printers, mobile devices, networking, and collaboration platforms.
