Job Responsibilities
- Design, install, and configure internal and customer-facing servers.
- Administers and supports core technologies, such as VMware, Azure, Microsoft servers, Office 365, and third-party applications.
- Affords assistance with the design and implementation of monitoring, configuration management, and reporting functions.
- Ensures a robust environment providing maximum systems availability (24x7x365).
- Completes daily backup operations, ensuring all required file systems and system data are successfully backed up to the appropriate media, recovery types or disks are created, and media is recycled or replicated offsite as necessary.
- Provides after-hours support for Infrastructure-related emergencies and routine weekend maintenance.
- Potential for 24x7 on call responsibilities.
- Affords assistance with internal and external systems security, patch management, and access control.
- Maintains inventory and system configuration documentation.
Job Skills
- Working knowledge of virtualization technologies, server environments, data centers, cloud technologies, and service-level agreements (SLAs).
- Good written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- Three years of experience in the information technology space.
