Essential Functions & Responsibilities

  • Infrastructure & Server Administration
    • Administer, maintain, patch, and optimize on-premise Microsoft Windows Server environments.
    • Manage virtualization platforms (VMware/Hyper-V) including provisioning, resource optimization, and monitoring.
    • Maintain and support Identity lifecycle management, privileged access workflows, and access review processes.
    • Support and administer Microsoft Azure services including virtual machines, storage, networking, security, and monitoring.
    • Manage hybrid identity, Azure AD Connect, and synchronization processes.
    • Assist in cloud resource governance, cost optimization, and policy compliance.
    • Administer Microsoft 365 platform services, including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, and security/compliance center tools.
    • Deploy and manage configurations and compliance policies in Intune for workstation and mobile device management.
    • Support licensing, auditing, and tenant-level configuration.
    • Maintain enterprise applications running on Microsoft platforms. Perform updates, configuration, patching, and break/fix support for core server applications.
    • Manage backup, restore, and disaster recovery readiness for all systems.
  • Operational Support & Collaboration
    • Respond to escalated system issues, outages, and service requests.
    • Document procedures, configurations, diagrams, and system changes.
    • Work with cross-functional teams on projects, integrations, and infrastructure upgrades.
    • Participate in on-call rotation and after-hours maintenance windows as needed.

    Knowledge And Skills

    • Experience: 3–5+ years of experience in system administration or infrastructure support.
    • Experience with hybrid on-prem/cloud environments required.
    • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field preferred.
    • Preferred Certifications: Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator (AZ-104), Microsoft 365 Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate, ITIL Foundation or similar, CompTIA Network+ / Security+ (optional but valuable).

    Physical Requirements

    • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. for server and hardware installation and ability to work in datacenter/server-room environments.

    Other Skills

    • Strong knowledge of Windows Server (2016/2019/2022) administration.
    • Expertise in Active Directory, GPO design, DNS/DHCP, and domain services.
    • Hands-on experience with Azure and Entra ID.
    • Proficiency with M365 (Teams, SharePoint, Exchange Online, OneDrive).
    • Experience with Intune for device and application management.
    • Understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, routing, VLANs, firewalls).
    • Experience with backup technologies, DR concepts, and system monitoring tools.
    • Familiarity with zero-trust principles and security best practices.
    • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and documentation skills.
