Systems Administrator
Requirements
- DOD 8140 certification at IAT Level II (Security + CE, CySA+, CCNA Security, GICSP, GSEC, CND, SSCP)
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, engineering, scientific, or technical discipline
- Five (5) years of experience working with Red Hat Enterprise Linux operating systems – patching, scanning, STIGing, group policy modifications.
- Five (5) years of experience working with Windows operating systems – patching, scanning, STIGing, group policy modifications.
- Experience demonstrating the ability to engineer complex systems with integrated software and hardware solutions.
- Debugging and performance optimization skills to garner processing efficiencies by avoiding or quickly identifying bottlenecks, memory leaks, and general inefficiencies in processing.
- Active Secret security clearance.
Qualifications
Collaborating with multiple technical teams (Information Assurance, Engineering, Testing, Configuration Management, Training).
Proposing and demonstrating technical approaches in alignment with military standards and specifications.
Working on multiple projects at once and managing priorities while communicating successes and challenges with the integrated technical team.
Adhering to prescribed configuration management for all coding.
Configure and build Toughbooks for USN and Foreign Military Sales shipments.
Evaluate hardware and software (OS, patches, STIGs) for obsolescence mitigation and cyber compliance.
Port application to new hardware and resolve existing trouble tickets.
Collaborate with government personnel to set up the lab equipment including software installation/updates and system configuration.
Support Information Assurance with MK41 Vertical Launch System equipment scans.
Install new software (OS, patches, STIGs) to meet cyber compliance.
Create and maintain relevant documentation, such as Standard Operating Procedures, configurations (software and hardware), and related materials.
Pay
The anticipated salary range for this position is $95,000 to $125,000.
