Systems Administrator Responsibilities

• Manage, maintain, and troubleshoot IT systems, including computer systems, networks, and servers to ensure their security, availability, and reliability.
• Serve as a technical expert in the area of system administration for complex Infrastructure systems.
• Recommend configuration changes of operating systems and system applications, investigate and analyze feasibility of system requirements and aid in developing system specifications.
• Identify process improvements, solutions, and participate in projects to provide a high level of service to customers.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum four (4) years professional experience in information systems and/or network administration with significant network or system engineering and architectural experience.
• Proven ability to work with infrastructure production support teams and manage external service providers.
• Experience within the US healthcare industry is desired.
• Experience with Information Security solutions is desired.

Compensation

COMPENSATION: The base salary range for this position is $68,000-$78,000. Additional compensation opportunities and incentives will be detailed during the interview process. Please note that the range listed above is our good faith estimate of the hiring range for this role. If you are hired at Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Vermont, your final base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as skills, competencies, education, experience, and internal equity across the current team. Location

This role is a hybrid position with the expectation that the employee will be in our Berlin, VT office on Wednesdays and other days as needed with flexibility to work remotely the rest of the week.
