Key Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and manage infrastructure to ensure high availability, security, and performance
- Engineer and maintain systems supporting enterprise and HPC workloads
- Support hybrid cloud and on-prem architectures aligned with business, security, and compliance requirements
- Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to enable consistent, repeatable, and scalable system deployments
- Partner with application and infrastructure teams to design systems that support development and production workloads
- Maintain and manage infrastructure supporting environments, including performance tuning and job scheduling optimization
- Perform regular capacity planning to support growth, scalability, and evolving workload demands
- Implement and maintain backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity solutions
- Act as escalation support for system-level incidents and service interruptions
- Develop and maintain automation scripts and tooling to streamline operations and improve system reliability
- Support compliance and regulatory initiatives by maintaining secure, auditable, and well-documented systems
- Participate in incident response and post-incident reviews related to system or infrastructure events
- Create and maintain detailed technical documentation, diagrams, and operational procedures
- Research, evaluate, and recommend new systems, tools, and approaches that improve infrastructure quality and efficiency
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to other team members and support staff
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- 3 years of experience as a System Administrator supporting enterprise-scale environments with a strong emphasis on Azure and Linux platforms
- Proficiency in automation and scripting languages (Python, Bash, PowerShell)
- Strong knowledge of system security best practices including patch management, system hardening, and access controls
- Relevant industry certifications or equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered in lieu of a formal degree
Preferred Experience
- Experience with Epic Aura or similar clinical/regulated systems
- Experience with HPC environments including clustered compute, job scheduling, and capacity planning
