Systems Administrator

Clearance Level: Must have an Active Secret or Top Secret/SCI Clearance. Location: 100% on-site; must live within 100 miles of Lexington, MA.

About the Role

Aquila Technology is seeking a System Administrator to join our team in supporting one of the country’s premier defense research organizations. The Systems Administrator will join a highly collaborative team supporting one of the largest and fastest-growing classified computing environments. The ideal candidate will have strong, hands-on Linux administration experience and a proven background supporting Linux environments, troubleshooting system issues, and maintaining reliable and secure computing platforms.

Responsibilities

• Domains: IT Infrastructure, Networking, System Architecture Design, System Configuration Management, System Troubleshooting
• Responsible for the management, administration, and support of IT systems and infrastructure.
• Configure and maintain physical and virtual servers and user workstations in a secure, RMF-compliant, and well-documented environment.
• Support additional technologies and platforms as they are adopted by the organization.
• Perform vulnerability remediation across secure and unclassified systems, addressing Category 1, 2, and 3 findings in a timely manner.
• Identify, diagnose, and troubleshoot issues with user and developer workstations across multiple operating systems, including Windows and Linux.
• Perform additional IT infrastructure, systems administration, and technical support duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree
• Currently holds a Secret Clearance (OR a higher clearance)
• 3 years Hardware: Dell, SuperMicro, Cisco, Apple, Intel/AMD.
• 3 years Networking Applications and Protocols: TCP/IP, DNS, NTP, DHCP, SSH, FTP and HTTP/S.
• 3 years Powershell and Ansible (or other programming languages)
• 3 years Configure and Manage Centralized Logging and Audit Capabilities
• 3 years Enterprise Backup Solutions
• 6 years Redhat
