Responsibilities
- Manages IT system infrastructure and any processes related to these systems.
- Provides support to IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for all of the client/server/storage/network devices, mobile devices, etc.
- Provides Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution of problems.
- Provides support for the escalation and communication of status to management and internal customers.
- Configures and manages Linux/RHEL and Windows operating systems and installs/loads operating system software, troubleshoots, maintains integrity and configures network components along with implementing enhancements to improve reliability and performance.
- Maintains daily operations of applications and infrastructure.
- Performs system maintenance tasks including patches and updates.
- Troubleshoots and resolves application technical issues.
- Affords assistance with user account management and security administration.
- Supports system backups and recovery procedures.
- Helps maintain system documentation and operational procedures.
- Participates in testing during upgrades and implementations.
- Generates system reports and analyzes performance metrics.
- Responds to user support requests related to system functionality.
Qualifications
- 4 years of experience in Information Technology; Systems Administration.
- Bachelor's degree in technical discipline from an accredited college university is required. Five years of additional SA experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.
- Meeting DoD 8570 level 2 qualifications, which would be any of the following certifications:
- Security+ CE
- CCNA Security
- CySA+
- GICSP
- GSEC
- CND:EC-Council’s Certified Network Defender (CND)
Clearance
Active TS/SCI with polygraph is required.
