Systems Administrator

Responsibilities

• Manages IT system infrastructure and any processes related to these systems.
• Provides support to IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for all of the client/server/storage/network devices, mobile devices, etc.
• Provides Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution of problems.
• Provides support for the escalation and communication of status to management and internal customers.
• Configures and manages Linux/RHEL and Windows operating systems and installs/loads operating system software, troubleshoots, maintains integrity and configures network components along with implementing enhancements to improve reliability and performance.
• Maintains daily operations of applications and infrastructure.
• Performs system maintenance tasks including patches and updates.
• Troubleshoots and resolves application technical issues.
• Affords assistance with user account management and security administration.
• Supports system backups and recovery procedures.
• Helps maintain system documentation and operational procedures.
• Participates in testing during upgrades and implementations.
• Generates system reports and analyzes performance metrics.
• Responds to user support requests related to system functionality.

Qualifications

• 4 years of experience in Information Technology; Systems Administration.
• Bachelor's degree in technical discipline from an accredited college university is required. Five years of additional SA experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.
• Meeting DoD 8570 level 2 qualifications, which would be any of the following certifications:
• Security+ CE
• CCNA Security
• CySA+
• GICSP
• GSEC
• CND:EC-Council’s Certified Network Defender (CND)

Clearance

Active TS/SCI with polygraph is required.
