System Vice President Quality and Safety

About the Role

The System Vice President of Quality and Safety spearheads organizational performance and transformation, upholds excellent patient care, and impacts performance scores at Tower Health. This leadership role focuses on clinical quality measurement, analysis, improvement, monitoring, and reporting across the entire healthcare system.

Responsibilities

• Leads and facilitates clinical quality measurement, analysis, improvement, monitoring, and reporting activities for Tower Health.
• Directs and oversees the work of the quality, clinical effectiveness, and patient safety teams at each Tower Health hospital.
• Collaborates with nursing professional development and works closely with leadership, hospital departments, and medical staff to advance continuous quality improvement.
• Enhances the provision of safe, timely, effective, efficient, equitable, and patient-centered care and services.
• Proactively advances strategic priorities, including patient safety, infection prevention and control, patient experience, nursing quality (Magnet designation), and regulatory/accreditation compliance.
• Creates an environment supporting continuous improvement and employee engagement through knowledge of healthcare laws, regulations, standards, and best practices.
• Drives organizational transformation in care delivery and operations using a collaborative, quantitative, and results-driven approach.
• Builds relationships and alliances with internal and external constituencies.

Requirements

• Experience in a healthcare quality leadership position in acute care with direct responsibility for CMS and Leapfrog submissions and improvements.
• Master’s degree required; combination of relevant education and experience may be considered in lieu of a Master’s degree.
• Clinical background is a plus.
• CPHQ certification is helpful.
