System Validation Engineer
Role Description
UST is searching for a System Validation Engineer to execute validation test cases (manual and automated) across hardware, BIOS, firmware, OS, and drivers. The opportunity includes setting up and configuring systems, developing and running Python-based scripts for test automation, logging and analyzing BIOS and OS logs, performing debugging and issue triage, validating system components, installing and troubleshooting operating systems, and supporting system bring-up, rack setup, cabling, and lab maintenance.
What You Need
- Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Computer Science, or related field
- Strong understanding of computer hardware, system architecture, and components
- Good knowledge of BIOS, firmware, OS, drivers, and system-level concepts
- Hands-on exposure to Linux environments (SSH, command line, tools)
- Strong Python programming skills for scripting, automation, and problem-solving
- Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to learn quickly and work in a fast-paced environment
Compensation and Benefits
Compensation can differ depending on factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, education, and level of experience. UST provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in various U.S. markets as set forth below.
- Full-time, regular employees accrue a minimum of 10 days of paid vacation per year, receive 6 days of paid sick leave each year (pro-rated for new hires throughout the year), 10 paid holidays, and are eligible for paid bereavement leave and jury duty.
- Eligible to participate in the Company’s 401(k) Retirement Plan with employer matching.
- Eligible to participate in the following Company-paid Employee Only benefits: basic life insurance, accidental death and disability insurance, and short- and long-term disability benefits.
