About the role

Supermicro Computer is currently looking for talented System Validation Engineer to partner with Hardware Designing team to validate in-house servers and workstation platforms, troubleshoot and detect any problem of current validation project. The candidate will be responsible to provide technical specifications, build testing configurations to verify systems' stability and reliability. In this position, you will have the opportunity to work with both internal engineering and product team on various projects.

Responsibilities

• Perform motherboard, server and rack level system application validation testing
• Conduct functional and compatibility testing on various operating systems such as Linux and Windows
• Perform hardware and rack level functional validation testing
• Perform server configuration and system performance testing
• Report hardware and software quality assurance issues into bug tracking systems
• Duplicate customers issue if needed
• Work with customers and product management to understand production use of the product and understand advanced functionality requirements
• Familiar for HPC, data center, networking architecture, system mechanics, etc.
• Expert technical knowledge of designing and implementing Server system
• Familiar with scientific / enterprise grade GPU testing and benchmarks
• Must be able to multi-task and meet demanding target dates

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master's degree in CS, CE, EE or similar
• 2+ years of working experience in system or component testing
• Familiar for HPC, data center, networking architecture, system mechanics, etc.
• Strong technical knowledge of server system architecture and implementation
• Benchmarking experience

Pay

Salary Range $100,000 - $113,000. The salary offered will depend on several factors, including your location, level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience, and comparison to other employees already in this role. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as participation in bonus and equity award programs.
