As a System Security Engineering (SSE) Program Lead, you will lead an SSE team, provide guidance to program-level architects, and serve as a direct interface during key reviews and technical exchanges. You will collaborate with customers and engineering disciplines to ensure program needs are met, analyze SSE issues affecting the system, and propose solutions balancing cost, schedule, and technical requirements. This role involves strategic input in system development, agile environments, and tracking key roadmaps and deliverables.

Responsibilities

• Perform Task Lead duties (e.g., task planning, product ownership, scrum master)
• Implement SSE solutions into RTX products
• Interact with customers to define SSE requirements, solutions, trades, costs, implementation, system impacts, and effectiveness
• Support development of plans, estimates, task execution, project tracking, reporting, and risk identification/mitigation
• Plan and guide SSE implementations in customer systems
• Consult and assist program line management with SSE architectures and issues
• Conduct attack threat modeling and Critical Program Information Assessments
• Develop top-level system requirements and flow down requirements/implementation concepts to subsystems
• Ensure compliance with DoD technology release and export licensing policies
• Support development of bids and proposals
• Work with Earned Value Management (EVM)

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and 8 years of prior relevant experience
• Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance (required prior to start date)
• U.S. citizenship (required for security clearance eligibility)
• Experience in technical leadership
• Experience in System Security Engineering, computer technology reverse engineering, anti-tamper (AT), cybersecurity, or embedded security
• Experience designing, implementing, testing, and fielding real-time embedded security-oriented solutions on DoD programs with secure systems technologies, methodologies, policies, and guidelines
• Experience generating security (AT and/or program protection) requirements, design/architecture artifacts, plans, and/or policies

Preferred Qualifications

• Ability to obtain and maintain additional program access as required
• Experience in design, development, and fielding of SSE systems
• Software, Firmware, & Microelectronics Engineering, Cryptography, and FPGA design
• Advanced Degree in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Mechanics, Computer Science, Engineering Science, Business Administration, and/or Robotics
• DoD Top Secret clearance with current SSBI within the last 5 years
• Cyber Certifications in accordance with DoDD 8570/DoDD 8140 (e.g., CISSP, GSLC, CEH)
• Program management experience with SSE
• Broad understanding of technology and working knowledge of DODI-S-5230.28
• Aircraft/weapons integration experience
• Strategic planning and proposal writing skills
• Exceptional ingenuity, creativity, and resourcefulness
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to interact positively with coworkers, suppliers, stakeholders, and customers
• Experience contributing in a team environment to develop creative solutions to technical problems

Pay

The salary range for this role is $107,500 – $204,500 USD. The range reflects all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including role, function, responsibilities, work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
