About the role
Electrical Consultants, Inc. (ECI) is a leading power engineering consultant firm providing services to electric utilities, energy developers, and industrials. We specialize in system voltages from 4.16 kV through 765 kV. ECI is seeking an experienced System Reliability and Compliance Engineer (NERC) to support internal and external clients.
Responsibilities
- Develop NERC FAC and PRC studies using design and testing data from system protection, system studies, substation, and SCADA.
- Support audits and manage various NERC aspects of projects.
- Work under the guidance of the ECI Manager of System Reliability and Compliance on transmission, substation, and generation projects.
- Answer technical questions and write bid proposals/estimates.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering or related field (engineering technology, engineering physics, or mathematics).
- 6+ years direct experience in electrical power, fossil, hydro, renewable generation, or transmission and substations.
- Experience in NERC compliance associated with System Protection and Substation Engineering.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organization and planning skills.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Commitment to quality and accuracy.
- A willingness to meet fast-paced project schedules.
Qualifications
- Minimum 6+ years of direct experience in electrical power, fossil, hydro, renewable generation, or transmission and substations.
- Experience in NERC compliance associated with System Protection and Substation Engineering.

Skills
- Strong understanding of power systems and BES facilities.
