System Integration And Test Engineer

About the role

DPP is seeking an Integration and Test Systems Engineer 3 for an opportunity with our client in the Aerospace and Defense Manufacturing industry. Work location: Onsite in San Diego, CA. Work shift: 8:00AM–5:00PM (9x80 A). Duration: 12 months. Terms: W2 position. Work Authorization: US Citizen; must have the ability to obtain and maintain a minimum of a Secret clearance with additional customer specified clearance prior to start.

Responsibilities

• Maintain processes and procedures for the assembly and test of spacecraft, aircraft and/or related equipment.
• Coordinate integration activities with supervisors, program engineers and various customer organizations.
• Document and disposition hardware discrepancies and pursuing root cause and corrective actions.
• Design and develop tooling to aid in the integration and test process.

Basic qualifications

• Demonstrated proficiency in analytical thinking, problem solving skills and Systems Thinking mindset.
• Excellent decision making and communication (written and oral) skills.
• Strong work ethic and the ability to work in an integrated product team (IPT) environment.
• Ability and willingness to work independently with little oversight or direction.
• Advanced troubleshooting of hardware and software issues.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a minimum of a Secret clearance with additional customer specified clearance prior to start.

Required education & experience

• 5 years with a Bachelor’s in Science OR 3 years with Master’s OR 1 year with PhD.
• Active Secret or Top-Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• Experience in an integration and test environment for complex electronic systems evaluation.
• Experience performing Design Verification Tests, Environmental Qualification Testing, and Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) Qualification Testing.
• Working knowledge of DOORS and Verification Cross Reference Matrices.
• Working knowledge of the following specialty areas: EOIR systems, sensors, optics.
• Experience with Model Based Engineering (MBE) concepts and tools (Cameo).
• Knowledge of MATLAB, C, C++, Java, Python, or other scripting languages.
