System Engineers

About the role

Artera Technologies, LLC is seeking experienced Systems Engineers to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in systems engineering, computer science, information systems, engineering science, or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Analyzes user's requirements, concept of operations documents, and high-level system architectures to develop system requirements specifications.
• Leads design and development activities based on system requirements.
• Guides users in formulating requirements, advises alternative approaches, and conducts feasibility studies.
• Provides technical leadership for the integration of requirements, design, and technology.
• Incorporates new plans, designs, and systems into ongoing operations.
• Develops technical documentation including system architecture and design documentation.
• Develops system engineering management plans and system integration and test plans.
• Interacts with customers regarding Systems Engineering technical considerations and associated problems, issues, or conflicts.
• Ensures the technical integrity of work performed and deliverables associated with the Systems Engineering area of responsibility.
• Communicates with other program personnel, government overseers, and senior executives on technical matters.

Requirements

• Systems Engineer Level 1: Bachelor’s degree in system engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline, and 0-7 years of experience.
• Systems Engineer Level 2: Bachelor’s degree in system engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline, and 7-14 years of experience.
• Systems Engineer Level 3: Bachelor’s degree in system engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline, and 20+ years of experience.
• Five (5) additional years of relevant experience may be accepted in lieu of a bachelor’s degree on some contracts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in system engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline.
• Experience in systems engineering providing technical direction for the development, engineering, interfacing, integration, and testing of specific components of complex hardware/software systems.
• Experience in conducting quantitative analysis in non-functional system performance areas like Reliability, Maintainability, Vulnerability, Survivability, Produceability, etc.
• Experience in establishing and following a formal procedure for coordination system integration activities among multiple teams.
• Experience in capturing interface designs in a common interface control format and storing interface data in a commonly accessible repository.
• Experience in preparing time-line analysis diagrams illustrating the flow of time-dependent function.
