System Engineer Level 2 (AHT)
This position is located at Northrop Grumman’s Space sector in Azusa, CA and is contingent upon program award, the candidate obtaining final clearances, and program access within a reasonable period. Continued employment will require maintaining the required clearance and access level. Relocation assistance is not available. Active Secret clearance is required at time of application. Travel is expected at 10% of the time.

Northrop Grumman is seeking Systems Engineers to join our SEIT System Performance Analysis team. Responsibilities
- Participate in the systems engineering lifecycle, including requirements analysis, design, integration, test, and verification.
- Support the planning and development of new programs, structuring execution around appropriate lifecycle methods.
- Develop and document system specifications, interface control documents (ICDs), and system architecture.
- Conduct trade studies and analyses to optimize system performance, risk, and cost-effectiveness.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including hardware and test engineers, to ensure successful system integration.
- Support the development and execution of system-level test plans and procedures.
- Analyze test data and identify root causes of system anomalies or failures.
- Contribute to technical reviews and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) field with 2 years of related experience; OR a Master’s degree and/or PhD in a STEM field with 0 years of related experience.
- Active Secret clearance at time of application.
- Demonstrated proficiency in analytical thinking, problem-solving, and systems thinking.
- Knowledge of and experience in MATLAB, C, C++, CUDA, SysML, MBSE, Python, Julia, Cameo, DOORS, Jira, Confluence, or other relevant languages/tools.
- Ability to work in an integrated product team (IPT) environment.
- U.S. citizenship is required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Agile development experience.
- Domain knowledge or course history of space systems.
- Experience in abstract modeling environments (Rhapsody, Cameo, UML, SysML) for space systems evaluation.
- Experience performing system verification and validation.
- Working knowledge of EOIR systems, optics, algorithms, detection, or tracking.
- Experience with model-based systems engineering concepts (SysML) and tools (Cameo, Rhapsody).
- Experience with virtual environments, operational analysis, or mission modeling (AFSIM, STK, BRAWLER, ATCOM, ONESAF, SIMULINK).
- Experience in integration and test environments for dynamic systems (CubeSats, Rockets, Robotics).

Pay
Primary level salary range: $91,800.00 - $137,600.00. The final offer considers scope, responsibilities, experience, education, skills, and market conditions. Eligible employees may receive overtime, shift differentials, discretionary bonuses, annual bonuses, Long Term Incentives (for Vice President or Director positions), and other benefits.
