System Engineer IV

This position requires an active Top Secret/SCI w/ Fullscope Polygraph clearance to be considered.* ProSync is seeking a Sr. System Engineer with experience in System Administration Automation, management and security compliance. Candidate must focus on maintaining system integrity, performance, and security for critical client/server environments, demanding strong problem-solving and communication skills. Candidate must be prepared to work with a small, mission focused team that frequently interacts with users and the customer. Responsibilities: Advanced Linux Operations — Perform deep‑level administration, tuning, and troubleshooting across complex Linux environments, including NSYS‑level diagnostic workflows and root‑cause analysisAutomated Testing & Validation — Develop, execute, and maintain automated test procedures to validate system functionality, performance, and mission readinessScript Analysis & Troubleshooting — Create, review, and debug scripts (Bash, Python, Ansible, etc.) to support automation, system diagnostics, and operational workflowsCollection System Support — Provide engineering and operational support for collection platforms, ensuring system stability, data integrity, and mission continuityTiered Mission Support — Deliver multi‑tier operational support, including incident response, escalation handling, and coordination with mission operations teamsAnsible Development — Build, maintain, and troubleshoot Ansible playbooks and automation pipelines for configuration management and system deploymentContainerized Environments — Deploy, manage, and troubleshoot containerized applications using Docker, Podman, or similar technologiesTLS & Certificate Management — Install, configure, and troubleshoot TLS/server certificates to ensure secure communication across distributed systemsRF & Modem Installation — Support installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of RF systems, modems, and associated signal‑path componentsNiFi Administration — Provide operational and administrative support for NiFi dataflow environments, including performance tuning and flow optimizationKubernetes Operations — Deploy, maintain, and troubleshoot Kubernetes clusters supporting mission applications and distributed processing ProSync Technology Group, LLC (ProSync) is an award-winning, SDVOSB Defense Contracting company with a strong military heritage and a record of excellence in supporting the Department of Defense and the Intelligence Community. Requirements A Bachelor's degree in a Qualified Engineering Field or a related discipline from an accredited college or university plus ten (10) years of experience in system engineering (OR) An Associate's Degree, a High School Diploma or GED plus fourteen (14) years of general system engineering experience (OR) A Master's degree in a Qualified Engineering Field or a related discipline from an accredited college or university plus eight (8) years of systems engineering experience (OR) A PhD in a Qualified Engineering Field or a related discipline from an accredited college or university plus six (6) years of systems engineering experienceAdvanced Linux experience; NSYS level troubleshooting experienceAutomated testing experienceScripting experience or at least the ability to walk through scripts for troubleshooting purposesCollection system knowledge/experienceTiered mission support experienceExperience creating Ansible scriptsExperience with containersAn active Top Secret/SCI with Polygraph is required Desired Requirements FORNSAT knowledge, experience within the collection environmentTLS/server certificate installation/management/troubleshootingRF installation/modem experience NiFi knowledge and experience in operational support and administrative tasksExperience with Kubernetes Benefits Join PROSYNC and enjoy our great benefits!
