System Engineer - COTs/NDI Products
About the role
Make the world's most advanced SWC Fire Control Common Infrastructure Product Team (CIPT) even smarter! As a System Engineer - COTs/NDI (Sr Systems Eng) for SWC Fire Control, you'll be a member of a cross functional team responsible for development of Strategic Weapons Systems Capabilities under the nuclear triad. Responsibilities
- Lead the integration of Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) and Non-Developmental Items (NDI) in our fire control systems with a continuous development mindset
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to seamlessly integrate and iterate on COTS/NDI solutions
- Oversee testing and validation to ensure systems meet evolving program requirements
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship, fostering a culture of continuous improvement
- Enhance engineering processes and standards with a focus on agility, innovation, and robust software processes
Qualifications
- Requires a Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering, Technology or Mathematics field
- 2+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree and 6 months of job-related experience
- Agile experience preferred
- Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required within a reasonable period of time but preferred at time of hire
- Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information
- U.S. citizenship is required

- Strong background in systems engineering with a focus on integrating COTS/NDI products
- In-depth understanding of software development processes to ensure successful integration and continuous improvement
- Demonstrated leadership and project management skills
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and a keen eye for detail
- Ability to thrive in a collaborative, team-oriented environment
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written
- Proven success in leading complex engineering projects with a continuous development approach
- Deep understanding of fire control systems and related technologies
- Quick adaptability to new technologies and agile methodologies
- Experience with the CIPT/GPC program or similar defense initiatives
- Dedication to fostering innovation and continuous improvement in engineering practices, with a strong emphasis on software process integration
- Identifies opportunities to apply AI for continuous improvement and innovation

Pay
Target salary range: USD $100,219.00/Yr. - USD $111,180.00/Yr. This estimate represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors (geographic location, etc.). Actual pay may vary.
Schedule
This position is on-site with opportunity to flex from site in future. While on-site, you will be a part of the Pittsfield, MA.
