System Engineer 6

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Linux Systems Administrator with networking experience (in an SE6 LCAT) to support a high priority and highly visible malware analysis modernization program. The role supports a large software development program developing, operating, and maintaining mission critical enterprise capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Supports a large software development program developing, operating, and maintaining mission critical enterprise capabilities.
• Applies systems engineering principles throughout the systems life cycle phases.
• Interacts with the Government regarding Systems Engineering technical considerations and for associated problems, issues or conflicts.
• Communicates with other program personnel, government overseers, and senior executives.
• Responsible for the technical integrity, quality, and completeness of work performed and deliverables associated with one or more of the 25 process areas defined by ISO/IEC15288.

Requirements

• Current (within 7 years) Polygraph and/or currently possess the minimum level of PRIVAC required for this role (NSYS).
• TS/SCI with agency appropriate polygraph.
• Capable of contributing 20% of gross compensation to a Simplified Employee Pension (SEP) IRA.

Qualifications

• Experience managing infrastructure users and hosts using RedHat FreeIPA identity management system.
• Experience managing VMware ESXi hypervisors and vCenter appliances.
• Experience creating and modifying Ansible playbooks for infrastructure automation tasks.
• Strong ability to diagnose and resolve complex connectivity issues, outages, and network bottlenecks.
• Experience managing Kubernetes RKE2 clusters.
• Familiarity with Atlassian platform (Confluence, Jira).
• Experience managing Pure Storage/Everpure arrays and VMware vSAN.
• Experience with infrastructure monitoring tools.
• Bash scripting.

Desired Technical Skills

• Experience managing MongoDB database clusters.
• Experience managing Trellix FireEye VX, AX, and CM appliances.

Pay

$97.95 - $132.65 an hour
