About the role
To be considered for this position, you must have an active TS/SCI with full scope polygraph security clearance (U.S. citizenship required).
Responsibilities
- Configure, manage and troubleshoot Linux and Windows operating systems.
- Installs/loads operating system software, troubleshoots and maintains integrity, and configures network components along with implementing operating systems enhancements to improve reliability and performance.
- Provides support for implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of Information Technology (IT) systems.
- Manages IT system infrastructure and any processes related to these systems.
- Supports IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring, and problem resolution for all client/server/storage/network devices, mobile devices, etc.
- Supports the dispatch system and hardware problems and remains involved in the resolution process.
- Optimizes system operations and resource utilization and performs system capacity analysis and planning.
- Analyzes and resolves complex problems associated with server hardware, applications, and software integration.
- Demonstrated experience in planning and leading Systems Engineering efforts is required.
- Must be proficient with troubleshooting in a Linux Red Hat environment.
- Extensive experience with VMWare.
- Demonstrated experience with modern automation/configuration tools such as Splunk or Ansible.
- STE/STN compliance and mitigation.
Requirements
- Minimum of twenty (20) years’ experience as a System Engineer in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required.
- Demonstrated experience in planning and leading Systems Engineering efforts is required.
Qualifications
- Five (5) years of additional System Engineering experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
Skills
- A Bachelor’s degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related professional engineering discipline from an accredited college or university is required.
- Experience with VMWare and Ansible.
- Experience with troubleshooting in a Linux Red Hat environment.
- Experience with modern automation/configuration tools such as Splunk or Ansible.
- Experience with STE/STN compliance and mitigation.

Pay
The salary range for this position is $78,000 to $250,000 per year. This range reflects the compensation offered across the locations where we hire. The exact salary will be determined based on the candidate's work location, specific role, skill set, and level of expertise.
