System Communications Technician II

Responsibilities

• This will be an OVERNIGHT position - Monday - Thursday - 10pm-11am
• Candidate must reside within a commutable distance to our office in West Greenwich, RI.
• The Network Control Technician is responsible for ensuring optimal network performance, with success primarily measured by system uptime. Acts as the first line of defense in identifying and addressing network issues as they arise.
• Proactively detects, analyzes, and resolves moderate network problems within switching and transmission systems
• Affirms the severity of incidents to identify and coordinate necessary resources for resolution
• Prepares and submits service interruption reports to relevant government agencies in compliance with regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Solid understanding of switching and transmission systems, troubleshooting protocols, and regulatory reporting requirements
• Skills in proactively identifying, analyzing, and resolving moderate network problems
• Ability to assess incident severity and coordinate necessary internal or external resources for timely resolution
• Requires a minimum of 1 - 2 years of related experience

Pay

The estimated starting compensation range is $43,680 - $51,792. The actual pay offered may end up being higher or lower. The Company will comply with all local pay requirements and collective bargaining agreements, where applicable.
