About the role
The Santa Barbara County Fire Department is seeking a System and Network Administrator (Temporary) position in the Regional Fire Communications Center (RFCC) in Santa Barbara, California.
Responsibilities
- Designs or modifies, and monitors computer application systems
- Aids system users with the resolution of computer application problems
- Writes reports and manages automated jobs
- Updates information on servers
- Performs related duties as required under close supervision
Requirements
- Completion of 24 quarter/18 semester units of college-level courses in the principles and methods of systems analysis, systems design, computer program design, computer programming using a language utilized by the hiring department, and information system technology
- Two years of experience writing business application programs
- Knowledge of principles and methods used in analysis and development of data processing applications
- Ability to define problems, collect and analyze data, validate conclusions, and make recommendations
- Knowledge of basic programming languages applicable to systems in use
Qualifications

Pay
Salary range for EDP Systems & Programming Analyst I is $47.15 - $56.76 hourly, and for EDP Systems & Programming Analyst II is $51.72 - $62.34 hourly.
Schedule
The position is exempt from the Provisions of the Civil Service Rules.
