System Analyst

Job Summary

SMSI, LLC is seeking a full-time System Analyst to assist our Nuclear Safety and Weapons team onsite at Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL) in Los Alamos, NM.

Responsibilities

• Provide aggregation of data and systems support to manufacturing and engineering analysts and teams.
• Help drive data-driven decision-making in fulfillment of gas transfer mission objectives.
• Extract data from legacy documents and compile for analysis.
• Support multiple technical projects.
• Research, develop, review, and comprehend historical technical procedures as needed.
• Adhere to the requirements for working in facilities with radioactive hazards.

Requirements

• 5 years of technical experience working within data and systems.
• Experience working with DOE, preferably Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL).
• Software Quality Assurance (SQA) experience.
• Ability to effectively document and communicate results in a technical manner.
• Meticulous attention to detail.
• Familiarity with multiple software systems including Fetch, NSDS, Python, Adobe, and HAI.
• Excellent communication skills and proven ability to communicate with various levels of engineers, scientists, and leadership.
• Background and pre-employment drug screening for drug-free workplace.
• Active DOE Q clearance.
• Active Real ID diver's license for badging and onboarding.

Preferred Skills

• Experience working with LANL in information technology, weapons data and systems analyst, or technical support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 4 years of experience working within data, information technology, or systems analyst roles.
• High school diploma and 8 years of experience working within the same technologies.
