System Analyst

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Business Systems Analyst to partner with cross-functional teams in supporting and enhancing business applications that drive manufacturing and operational excellence. This individual will work closely with business stakeholders to evaluate processes, gather requirements, support system implementations, and deliver technology solutions that improve efficiency across the organization. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex business challenges, translating operational needs into technical solutions, and supporting enterprise systems in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with business leaders to understand operational challenges and recommend technology-driven solutions.
• Facilitate discovery sessions to gather business requirements and document current and future state processes.
• Evaluate workflows and identify opportunities to improve efficiency through system enhancements and automation.
• Support ERP and other enterprise application implementations, upgrades, testing, and user adoption.
• Create functional specifications and work with development resources to deliver system enhancements.
• Develop process documentation, workflow diagrams, testing plans, and user documentation.
• Coordinate user acceptance testing, validate results, and assist with issue resolution during deployments.
• Design and maintain reporting solutions that provide meaningful operational and business insights.
• Build and improve reporting processes while promoting self-service analytics where appropriate.
• Support expansion initiatives by evaluating existing processes and recommending scalable solutions.
• Maintain documentation for applications, procedures, and support processes.
• Provide end-user training and ongoing support to maximize adoption of business systems.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and stay current on emerging technologies and best practices.

Qualifications

• Five or more years of experience in a Business Analyst, Systems Analyst, Applications Analyst, or similar role.
• Experience supporting business applications within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Hands-on participation in ERP implementation, upgrade, or optimization projects.
• Experience managing projects or leading initiatives from requirements gathering through deployment.

Skills

• Strong understanding of business systems and application architecture.
• Ability to analyze business data using SQL and develop queries for reporting and troubleshooting.
• Experience writing SQL procedures, functions, or advanced scripts.
• Familiarity with relational databases; experience with legacy manufacturing databases is a plus.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to identify trends, solve problems, and recommend process improvements.
• Comfortable learning new technologies and adapting to changing business needs.
